Deputy Commander -in - chief of Abu Dhabi Police, Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Al Kutbi, visited on Wednesday the Ministry of interior (MoI) stand at GITEX 2011, and listened to elaborate clarification about the electronic services and programs the ministry is offering to the public.
Al Kutbi has been accompanied on his tour a GITEX by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations.
He underscored the importance of MoI participation in such shows, to publicize technological and electronic services used by the police and to utilize the expertise of other participating bodies.
He was pleased with the extensive participation of all the sectors of the ministry of interior and with the diverse electronic programs and services, adding that this participation gave visitors a great chance to learn closely about the services delivered by the ministry to the public.
Director of Central Operation at Abu Dhabi Police said the ministry, during its participations in the 11th edition of GITEX, was very keen to present the most applicable advanced electronic technologies which will be used to enhance the current efforts being made to upgrade police work.
He indicated that the broad participation of world and local companies and products at GITEX would help us follow the new developments in the world of informatics and exchange expertise with the specialized communication and IT companies taking part in the global event.
The Ministry of Interior is showing a lot of electronic services at its stand at GITEX, and is casting light on a group of services which it provides to individuals and institutions mainly in traffic. A number of police officers are delivering series of demonstrations to visitors with the aim of educating them about such services and how they can benefit from them.
According to Lt Colonel Faisal Al Shammari, supervisor of MoI stand at GITEX, the electronic services provided by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ are attracting a huge number of visitors from individuals and institutions. This was attributed to the developments being witnessed by the digital work, and the keenness of the Ministry of Interior on launching more e-services which contributes to simplifying administrative procedures and reaching end-users any time anywhere.
