ADP Tourism is continuous service to the public during Eid

Lt. Colonel Ahmed Darwish Al Qamzi, Head of Tourism Police Section at ADP, urges citizens and residents not to hesitate to seek Tourism Police’s help if in need.

He said “Tourism Police are highly qualified and can help at all times, especially during holidays, events and occasions.  They give advice and guidance to tourists in a way that reflects the civilized image of the country.”

The Tourism Police Section coordinates with foreign embassies to serve their nationals which in turn supports the tourism industry in the country.

The Section is keen to increase security for tourists in Abu Dhabi Emirate and to keep pace with new developments with the international tourism industry through its strategic vision “safe Tourism”. This is done through proactive solutions, communication with tourists and enhancing reassurance and a sense of security among tourists visiting the UAE.

The Section pays great attention to raising the efficiency and performance of its personnel, personnel of different police stations and public service personnel who have direct contact with tourists, through training courses in collaboration with ADP GHQ Department of Training. All employees of the Section have been selected="true" according to certain criteria including appearance, and language skills.

High security and safety standards are a top priority for Tourism Police Section. The Section coordinates with Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority and other relevant authorities to secure tourists and tourist sites in the Emirate, in cooperation with ADP Community Policing Department. The section also monitors positive and negative aspects and receive tourists complaints. Then the Section submits a report of these aspects to Higher Authorities for action. The Section also works on spreading awareness among the community through meetings, lectures and workshops.

The Section has an office on Abu Dhabi New Corniche. It monitors the security on the beach and submits a report on them. It receives reports or complaints and forwards them to Khaldiyah Police Station for necessary action.

The office settles minor differences amicably, monitors the behaviors of beach goers and answering the public enquires whether through their phone number “999999” or their web site; www.adpolice.gov.ae.
