ADP Music Band attracts big audience at Al Ain Mall
ADP Music band attracted large numbers of audience at Al Ain Mall, on Monday. It was the fourth musical evening organized by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of Hh the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the Band.
The Band played military and heritage pieces of music under the supervision of British Expert Andrew Baleen, amidst admiration of the Mall visitors and audience.
Shoppers and visitor of the Mall interacted with charming musical pieces, especially children who started dancing and laughing during performance.
As usual some of the audience came for shopping but they were enchanted with the show and postponed their shopping. They expressed their admiration for the entertainment and the good time the spent watching the show.
Captain Ibrahim Abdul Raheem Al Hosani, Head of Music Section at ADP Schools Department, said "The Music band came into existence in 1963 with 60 members. Now it has 123 members in Abu Dhabi and 86 in Al Ain. The Band has undergone a number of development stages. It participates in all police and national events".
"The Band tour will include Abu Dhabi, al Ain and the Western Region, to introduce itself and its role in the community, which goes beyond police events to all national activities, festivals and events", added Al Hosani.
The Band participated in a global musical festival in Germany and a musical festival in Dubai for all GCC States.
Lt. Ibrahim Maatooq al Hosani, Director of Education Branch at ADP Music Section said "The Band keeps pace with developments in Musical world, but it maintains the spirit of Emirati heritage. A British Expert has joined recently the Band. He has introduced some modern Western music, and has developed Arab music to meet the public needs, in a multi-cultural community".
"The Band witnesses continuous development. It has been provided with modern musical instruments, within ADP GHQ interest in developing the Band to global standards", added Al Hosani.
