The Abu Dhabi Police continue to celebrate the 42nd National Day with feelings of pride in this meaningful national event and the achievements made by country’s leadership that have earned the United Arab Emirates a prominent position among world countries.

At the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations at Abu Dhabi Police, attended the department’s National Day celebrations. Staff members expressed their happiness and commended the national achievements across all fields, especially achievements made in the policing sector.

Colonel Mohammed Mayouf Al Kutbi, Head of the Vehicles and Drivers Licensing Department, said: “Our celebrations marking the 42nd National Day bear a great meaning for us, as we appreciate this event that is very precious to all of the UAE’s people. This day celebrates our union and reflects the solid foundation of the union.  This day, as seen by our higher leadership sees, is a continuation of growth, prosperity, tolerance and respect that we have to each other. It also represents the supremacy of law and the solidarity within our homeland.”

The celebrations included various artistic programs that reflected the celebratory atmosphere.

As part of the National Day celebrations, Brigadier Hamad Al Ajlan Al Amimi, Director of the Al Ain Police Directorate, welcomed three students to his office yesterday morning. Aisha, Taif and Muhra Al Ka’bi presented an art model to the Director.

The model was presented to the directorate in appreciation of the efforts made to maintain safety and security across the country. Al Amimi expressed his love and appreciation to the children, while praising the visit as one that would promote relations between the police force and all community members, especially children, “the protectors of the future”. At the end of their visit, Al Amimi wished the children good luck and success in their future endeavors.

During a celebration held by the Procurement and Warehouses Department at the Abu Dhabi Police Departments’ Compound, a group of children presented traditional dance performances. Brigadier Saeed Saif Al Nuaimi, Head of the Procurement and Warehouse Department, attended the
ceremony.
In his speech, he expressed pride over the 2nd of December, 1971, a date that “recalls the journey of prosperity and giving, led by our founding fathers. A journey that continues to this present day, achieving great milestones across all fields,” he said.

The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) and the Khalifa Police Station also organized events to commemorate the 42nd National Day.

An event held by the CID was attended by officers’ children and staff members. The celebration featured various contests and poem recitations. Prizes were also distributed to participants. Dr. Rashid Mohammad Borshid, Head of the Criminal Investigation Department, along with his deputy, chiefs of sections, branch managers and staff members, attended the ceremony.

In the same vein, a delegation from the Khalifa Police Station, accompanied by a group of housewives, went to the Al Madeef Shelter for people with special needs, which is affiliated with the Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs in the Al Mafraq area, and distributed commemorative gifts to the people at the shelter.

On the occasion of the 42nd National Day, commemorative gifts and brochures that showcase the police force’s tasks and duties were distributed during a recent social event organized by The Khalifa Police Station at the Al Mafraq hospital in Abu Dhabi.
