ADP Campaign slogan displayed on public transport buses
Abu Dhabi Police general Headquarters, in cooperation with Abu Dhabi Department of Transport has displayed the slogan of its traffic safety campaign slogan "We ensure your safety in the fastest way" on a number of the latter's public buses travelling on the Capital, Al Ain and the Western region roads. The step reflects ADP interest in keeping pace with the coming grand event, participating and interacting with the public and making use of all public utilities, which include the public transport buses. The aim of the initiative also is to communicate with the different segments of the community and to encourage them in general and bus drivers in particular to respect and observe traffic rules and regulations. The move also urges the public to use the public transport means to follow up the Etihad Formula1, Grand Prix – Abu Dhabi 2010, which will be held at Yass Island Circuit during the period from 12 to 14 November 2010.
Saeed Mohammad Fadhil Al Hamli, Director General of Bus Transport in Abu Dhabi has lauded ADP GHQ efforts in launching its campaign under the slogan" We ensure your safety in the fastest way", for Etihad Frmulaa1 Grand Prix – 2010. The aim of the campaign is to educate the public on road good behaviors and safety of all road users. ADP has succeeded in achieving effective communication with the public through exploiting many popular events and activities, the thing that shows ADP ability to keep pace with developments and to achieve the security objective of police organization.
Al Hamli has affirmed that the Bus Transport is a strategic partner for all government efforts in awareness programmes and in changing the public behaviors and culture so as to become an important partner in supporting the government directions to maintain security, achieve community stability and the public safety.
The public buses are used by 100 thousand passengers daily in Abu Dhabi, which means they are very important public transport means and a good tool to educate people through them, whether they are passengers or passers by. The big size of the bus assists in displaying awareness announcements in a clear and direct way. He has appreciated MoI and ADP GHQ role in presenting continuous awareness programmes to the public.
Al Hamli has called for the necessity of changing individuals' behavior to become effective instruments in the community who seek its security and safety as policemen who are keen on the public safety and security especially during events hosted by the country throughout the year.
The UAE community consists of more than 200 nationalities from different countries of the world. He urges them all to cooperate with the police to achieve the goal of the campaign. He has called on some drivers to avoid bad behaviors and wrong practices on the road, especially reckless driving which threatens the safety of all road users.
The Director General of Bus Transport has lauded the efforts of the ADP Department of Security Media in organizing media campaigns with a view to maintaining the national gains, lives protection and protecting the community safety and security against all risks which some heedless drivers pose to others.
