ADP "Emergency and Public Safety" gears up for Eid holiday

 

 ADP GHQ Department of Emergency and Public Safety have completed its preparations for to receive Eid Al Adha, which coincides this year with the activities of Etihad airways F1, Grand prix – Abu Dhabi 2010. 

Colonel Mohammad Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director ADP Department of Emergency and Public safety said "Ambulance and rescue crews are well prepared for any emergencies during Eid holiday. Units of rapid reaction have been put on standby for any accidents that may take place on roads or public places which attract large number of people".

Colonel Al Nuaimi has affirmed the importance of "Your Safety" campaign launched by the Department of Security Media at the Secretariat General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, in boosting the public awareness of protection and safety conditions. 

He has urged families and community members to avoid the causes of accidents and fires, supervising children, warning them against playing in kitchens or with electrical appliances. Sharp tools matches and medicines should be kept away of their reach. The public are advised to take utmost precautions when using gas cookers at public places.

Colonel Al Nuaimi congratulates the citizens and residents on the advent of Eid Al Adha and wishes everybody happy Eid. Parents should pay great attention to their children and keep an eye on them all the time.

Captain Mohammad Al Zaabi, Director of Public Relations Branch at the Department of Emergency and Public safety said "All Units of the Department are prepared to move to any place in Abu Dhabi Emirate when a report is received seeking rescue and ambulance services, during Eid holiday".

"Eid Al Adha this year coincides with the activities of Etihad airways F1, Grand prix Abu Dhabi 2010. The Department preparations are the same throughout the year. But religious occasions always accompanied by practices and behaviors of some people which entail risks and dangers, such ignoring safety measures at kitchens, reckless driving on roads or recreational areas which attract large numbers of people during this season", added Al Zaabi.
