One Team for the safety of all
2500 of ADP elements secured the Championship
Al Nuaimi: With the public cooperation we presented a civilized image of our country
Major general Nasser La Khreibani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has expressed his appreciation of the positive cooperation of all police, sports and community sectors during the events of the FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi City, the Capital of UAE, during the period from 9 to 19 December 2009. 2500 elements from ADP GHQ have participated in the security of the event in collaboration with FIFA, including implementation of regulations.
According to Major General Al Nuaimi, sports fans, nationals and residents, have responded to ADP Motto "Make Bad Behavior Ancient History". This cooperation has had its positive effect on the success of the Championship. ADP has adopted the directives of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior to achieve coordination between ADP and other relevant organizations. ADP slogan "Abu Dhabi Police … One Team … Our Goal … Your Safety" was the baseline for using the Championship atmosphere in enhancing communication with the public.
HH the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has adopted a modern approach to entrench new concepts of policing. Al Nuaimi has expressed his best wishes for all those who worked very hard and youth football fans to produce a civilized image of our country.
Brigadier Faris Khalifa Al Farsi, Chairman of the Security Committee and Director General of Establishments Protection at Abu Dhabi Police has stated that the positive indications that accompanied the event have shown compliance with ADP instructions. All Inspection, Play grounds, Transport and Traffic Committees have facilitated the move of the people in outside the stadiums where the matched were being played, in addition to their role in traffic flow in the surrounding areas and on internal and highways of Abu Dhabi Emirate.
All Field Departments and Sections of ADP worked under one umbrella to secure the matches, players and persons. Also other services such as Rescue, Ambulance, Civil Defence, Explosives Detection etc were provided during the Championship. The participation of the public was behind the success of the event. He thanked the Center of Services and Ambulance Services of Dubai Government for their kind assistance and support at Mohammad bin Zayed and Zayed City Stadiums.
