200 Nationals to offer free transportation for F1 Circuit
The start of F1 race at Yass island Circuit is hours away. The event will start on the 30th of October and will end on the 1st of November. The Higher Security Committee has expressed its keenness to highlight UAE traditions, conventions and hospitality during the days of the race.
200 national taxi drivers will transport the fans to and fro Yass Island. Major General (S) Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kitbi, Deputy C-in-C of Abu Dhabi Police and Chairman of the Higher Security Committee urged them to be in their national dress, to reflect the civilized image of their country and to comply with good code of conduct.
Takatuf Social Voluntary Programme members, In addition to transporting people will also provide other services to the public during the event. These include receiving guests at Abu Dhabi and Dubai Airports, customer services at hotels and other relevant services, according to Maytha Al Habsi, Manager of the Programme.
The Media Affairs Committee has organized awareness lectures for 75 policewomen to assist them in communicating with the public and handling security situations. A procession of 70 Ferrari cars from Dubai to Abu Dhabi Corniche and then toYass Island will be organized by the Security Committee in collaboration with Premier Motors and Ferrari Company, on Friday in connection with F1 Race.
