According to Traffic and Patrols Department at Abu Dhabi Police 18,873 faulty tires were detected and violations registered during the period from 1 June to 31 August.
Colonel Hamad Adeel Al Shamsi, Director of Traffic and Patrols at ADP warned that tire bursts are the main cause of serious traffic accidents leading to deaths and severe injuries. He also warned motorists against using expired or faulty tires.
