Colonel Hamad Ahmed Al Hamadi, Director of ADP Criminal Investigation Department (CID) has announced the arrest of three Asians possessing 15½ kg of "Heroin" hidden secretly in small bags inside the flaps of cartons filled with mandarin for trading.

"The police has planned recently a compact operation, to arrest the suspects after an agreement with them to buy the shipment for Dh960,000. The implementation and success of the operation have taken place in Abu Dhabi. The operation has been video-taped by the Prosecution permission", added Al Hamadi.

The details of the operation have been stated by Lt. A security plan has been made to take him in. The policeman undercover has negotiated the price with the suspect. He has agreed to sell the shipment of 15½ kg for Dh 960,000. Half of the amount will be paid on delivery and the balance after completion of the deal".

Al Darmaki has described the shipment as "Clean" and of high quality. The market value of each kg is Dh 90,000. Thus the total price of the shipment will be Dh 1,395,000. The retail price will be more.

"The Prosecution permission has been sought to arrest the suspect, identified as 'N. Aa.', 27 and any one abets him or his link to the case is proved. Some elements from Narcotic drugs Combat section and others from ADP Security Information Department have been mobilized. The culprit has walked straight into the trap with two other Pakistani individuals, identified as 'S. Aa. S.', 22 and 'Kh. Hh. M.',31.Both of them have come from one of the country Emirates by a pick up loaded with mandarin cartons", added al Darmaki.

"Narcotic drugs Combat elements have spotted the Afghani individual and one of his accomplices at one of the hotels. They have fiercely resisted their arrest. The other Pakistani individual, who stayed in the car, was arrested when the Afghani suspect opened one of the mandarin cartons and took a transparent plastic bag containing the heroin from the inner flap of the carton. He showed the stuff after he had received the money. At that moment the signal indicating the completion of the deal was given.

The Director of CID at ADP has lauded the officials of the narcotic drugs Combat Section efforts in chasing and arresting drugs traders and peddlers. He appreciated the efforts of Major General Mohammad Al Awadhi Al Minhali, Director general of Human Resources and Acting director general of Policing Operations in supporting the activities of the CID to enable them to spread security over the country.

Colonel Al Hamadi has expressed his satisfaction with the advanced standard achieved by the Section. They have proved their effectiveness as they have foiled many operations and arrested the criminals. Today's crime is one of their previous successes. Because if they had not succeeded in foiling the attempt, the drug poisons would have spread all over the country and ruined abusers. He has appreciated at the same time he has appreciated the efforts of all Sections of the CID which spare no effort in serving the country.

He has urged community members not to hesitate in reporting any suspected law violati
