(Your path is clear) communicates ADP message to people abroad

 

The Radio Programme "Your Path is Clear", which was broadcasted through Emirates "FM", during the month of Ramadan, under ADP sponsorship, succeeded in expanding awareness circle inside and outside the country. The programme as mainly concerned with safety on roads and acquainting the audience with traffic rules, names of the country roads and tourist sites.

The success of a programme is measured through its interaction with listeners. During its 22 episodes it received 100 thousand different contributions from listeners inside and outside the country. Their contribution varied between comments and answers to the programme questions about traffic rules and tourist sites in the country.

The programme added a new dimension to ADP in awareness areas and reaching listeners abroad, through Emirates "FM". It was the first of its type which received great attention by listeners due to its usefulness.

1st Lt. Hamadan Al Darie, Director of radio Branch at the Department of Security Media said "The programme idea was proposed by FM Channel. It was in line with ADP GHQ strategy to communicate with different community segments through Medias. The opportunity came through the programme (Your Path is Clear), through Emirates FM. It contained traffic awareness and road safety tips, and acquainting the public with traffic signs and rules, in order to enhance traffic safety culture".

"About the programme theme, the programme crew visits different cities and areas in the country. One of the episodes involved a tour by one traffic patrol on Abu Dhabi roads and its personnel explain the patrol tasks and advise listeners how to behave in case of accidents", added Al Darie.

"The programme acquaints the public with services delivered by different ADP Departments, such as the Licensing Department, Women Police, Aman Service, Operations Room, Crime Scene, Civil defence, Emergency and public Safety and the Comprehensive Police Stations", added Al Darie.

Al Darie believes that the programme has succeeded and achieved its goals, through expanding awareness circle inside and outside the country. It received during its 22 episodes 100 thousand contributions through SMS and phone calls.

Yaaqoob Al Rusi, General Controller of Emirates (FM) said "It is not an easy job to prepare such programme and to adapt it to listeners' interests and to attract them. The programme reached and attracted large number of listeners inside and outside the country. It indicates ADP success in its distinguished media address".

"The time of the programme broadcasting coincide with the peal hour where employees leave office and go home. During this time they listen to the programme and make much use of its information. It is considered a unique and distinguished experience in awareness and communication between the police and the community members. It reflects initiative and teamwork spirit. The programme was able to communicate ADP awareness message to the public, in addition to boosting community partnership, which in turn increases trust in police services", added Al Rusi.
