MoI Finance and assets High Permanent Committee, chaired by Major General Khaleel Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at ADP, has held its final meeting for 2010, in the presence of Brigadier Salim Ali Al Shamsi, Deputy Director General of Finance and Services and deputy Chairman of the Committee.
Major General Badran has affirmed that the Committee is keen to continue adopting useful project ideas to promote the services delivered to police and security body. He has stressed the importance of adhering to energy rationalization approach at MoI level and communicating with authorities concerned in this regard.
The meeting agreed to form a Field Working Team for Purchasing, headed by Colonel saeed Saif Al Nuaimi, Director of Purchasing and Stores and Chairman of ADP Purchasing and Stores Committee.
The role of the Team is to boost the work of MoI Finance Departments through reviewing methods of purchasing at the country level, ways of financing purchases, how to finalize registration of suppliers, auditing of purchases and the nature of stores and depots.
The meeting also agreed to form a Sub-committee, under the name "Financial Excellence Committee", with a view to monitor the best practices and applications at MoI Finance Departments. The Committee is chaired by Lt. Colonel Samih Al Dhain and members from different MoI Finance Departments.
The Committee performs a number of tasks including preparation for Government excellence Programme, providing guideline reference and ensuring continuation of progress and development in performance.
The meeting also discussed a number of effective proposals to promote administrative work, so as to promote services level, to enhance excellence and quality in MoI.
The meeting was attended by a number of MoI officers, chairmen of sub-committees, members of the High Committee and civilian members.
