"Police and Community Beach" Championship to kick off on

10 October in Ajman

 

Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Aamar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, the Police Sports Association in collaboration with the Department of Civil Defence in Ajman, will organize the 1st Police and Community Beach Championship for Headquarters and Directorates General, during the period from 10 to 21 October in Ajman Emirate. The Championship includes beach football, beach volleyball, tug of war and road race which will be for students and different community segments, citizens and residents.

Colonel Abdulmalik Mohammad Jani, Director of Police Sports Association Department has thanked HH Sheikh Aamar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, for his kind patronage of the Championship.

He said during the first organizing meeting held at Ajman Department of Civil Defence "The patronage of HH of the Championship reflects the officials' keenness to contribute to the success of sports events in general and sports events and programmes organized by MoI, in particular. He also thanked the Department of Civil defence in Ajman for hosting the Championship"

The meeting has discussed all preparations related to the event, formation of committees and their responsibilities and registration for the Championship times.

Then he added that the sports season of the Police Sports association will be replete with sports events whether at police or community level, affirming that the association will participate this year in Olympic games outside the country, of which one will be held in the Sultanate of Oman.

Organization of the Championship events comes under the slogan "Police and the Community", as part of the annual programme of Police Sports Association. The1st completion of Headquarters and Directorates General is added this year.

"Police Sports Association, through this Championship, seeks to communicate with the community and having it participating in sports activities organized by MoI to boost and strengthen communication ties between police and community and to open more channels for cooperation between community members and police", added Jani.

In the same context, Lt. Colonel Nasser Al Zari, Head of Operations Section at Ajman Civil Defence, has affirmed that his Department is prepared to host this Championship, and that they will spar no effort for its success, by providing all requirements and needs.

The meeting was attended by Colonel Abdullah Al Manaai, Lt. Colonel Nasser Al Zari and Lt. Colonel Aarif Al Reis.
