Two persons injured in a collision between a bus and two cars

Two persons sustained minor injuries when a 65-seater bus collided with two cars on Tuesday. One of the two cars had its tire burst. The driver of the second car stopped to help the driver of the first car on the highway after Al Maqtaa Bridge in the direction of Al Ain.

Both drivers of the two cars, the one with the burst tire and the other who tried to give hand, did not adhere to parking rule outside the road, for their safety, said Lt. Colonel Mohammad Ahmed Al Mazroui, Head of Highways Traffic Section at ADP Traffic and Patrols Department. The situation was aggravated due to power vision during foggy weather at the time. The bus collided with the second car which in turn hit the first car.

Al Mazroui urged motorists to take utmost precautionary measures, reduce speed and keep adequate safe distance during fog or rains. They should increase the safe distance during bad weathers, where the driver could control his vehicle in case of emergency.

He laso urged motorists traveling on highways to stop their vehicles outside the road in cases of emergency e.g. breakdowns or tire replacement. They should keep away from the road center to avoid being knocked down by traveling cars.
