Traffic offenders called to join program to have black points removed
Abu Dhabi Police held its first qualification course to reduce 8 points from records of traffic offenders who accumulated less than 31 points before last April.
The program is part of an earlier campaign called ‘Make Your Driving Points Free’.
The Community Service Department has announced earlier that a traffic offenders whose driving license are not suspended and who accumulated less than 31 points are being given an opportunity to have eight points removed from their records, on condition that they joint the six - month qualification program which already began on August the 1st and will run until the end of next January 2012.
Lit Colonel Saif Obeid Al Khaili, director of Abu Dhabi Police Community Service Department called on those traffic offenders to join this program and complete the practical and theory training lessons successfully to avoid having their driving licenses withdrawn and suspended. These lessons are being offered at the Emirates Driving Institute in Musaffah.
“Once they have successfully completed this course, they will have been provided with the necessary tools and knowledge and they will become safer drivers on the roads, Al Khaili said.”
According to Al Khaili, during Ramadan, Arabic speaker are scheduled to attend the course on Mondays, while non- Arabic speakers on Wednesdays, from 12:30 to 3:30 pm.
