The Sniper Radar spots 1115 vehicles exceeding the speed limit
Al Ain Traffic Section by use of Al Qanas Radar (Sniper) has spotted 1115 vehicles exceeding speed limits on internal and external roads of Al Ain City in one week, as part of the Section campaign to nab drivers exceeding speed limits in the City.
Lt. Colonel Hamad Nasser Al Blushi, Head of the Section said "The aim of the campaign is to spot law violators and reckless drivers. The campaign is intended to protect the lives of road users and to reduce accidents deaths and casualties".
"The campaign will continue on different roads and streets of the City. Offenders will be booked in presence by traffic policemen", added Al Blushi.
He urged drivers to adhere to speed limits and to comply with traffic police directions. People are expected to behave in that way by their own and not because they afraid of punishment.
The mobile radar (Sniper) will be deployed on different roads of the City. The assigned committees will change the places of the radar and will focus on hot spots. He expects that drivers will cooperate with traffic police to enhance traffic safety on all roads.
