His Highness Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior, intensified its awareness raising efforts for workers, by organizing educational lectures.  These lectures, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor's Orientation Department, are part of MoL's comprehensive educational program for 2013.

Lieutenant Jumaa Al Hosani, from the Law Respect Culture Bureau, delivered a lecture about workers' legal rights and obligations at the workers' Housing Complex, of the Al Ghurair Group of Companies in Dubai, Al Qusais. He explained that the State has enacted laws and legislations determining individuals' legal rights and obligations, so as to provide a safe and secure life for all.  "Law guarantees individuals' rights, while imposing in return a set of obligations that should be exercised as required by law," he added.

Al Hosani stressed the keenness of the Law Respect Culture Bureau to pursue  its efforts to  educate  workers  on the various  legal issues, and acquaint  them  with the violations  they may commit as a result of  ignoring  the provisions of the law, and may leave them prone to exploitation.

He also pointed out to the cooperation and mutual coordination with the Ministry of Labor, being  the governmental entity in charge of workers' affairs. This  promotes the Law Respect Culture Bureau's efforts to raise  awareness among workers on all  issues related to  their daily life, and acquaint them with the State's  laws. This includes explaining both the labor-related laws handled by the Ministry of Labor's Orientation Department, and the penal aspect handled by the Ministry of Interior, represented by the Law Respect Culture Bureau. "This kind of cooperation would unify governmental efforts and promote positive results in this area, and will definitely continue, within an integrated systematic plan between both parties," Al Hosani continued.
