Abu Dhabi Police took part in the 5th Al Hilal Auto Festival, organized by Al Hilal Bank, which kicked off on Thursday evening at the Corniche, Abu Dhabi and will last until Sunday. During the festival, Abu Dhabi Police will showcase its Falcon bike “Al Saqr” and the attractive Formula One car “F999”; both specifically designed with unique specifications, unprecedented in the region, for better interaction and communication, particularly with the youth.
Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Khalid Al Nahyan, Chairman of Al Ain Sports Club, toured the Festival grounds and visited Abu Dhabi Police pavilion. He was briefed by the pavilion supervisors on the specifications and features of both the Falcon bike and Formula One car, as well as the efforts of Abu Dhabi police to promote traffic awareness among the various segments of society, to reduce traffic accidents.
Moreover, Sheikh Abdullah Al Nahyan lauded the efforts of Abu Dhabi police to enhance public awareness on road safety and reduce traffic accidents.
On the same note, officers and non-commissioned officers from Abu Dhabi Police will distribute awareness publications to motorists and bikers visiting the show, to increase their level of awareness on the risks of violating traffic laws, driving recklessly and over speeding.
Throughout the Festival, the public will have the opportunity to view the Falcon bike, coated with red and decorated with the Abu Dhabi Police logo, symbol of force, as well as the exciting race car “F999” painted with Abu Dhabi Police red and white colors, with the slogan "we ensure your safety in the fastest way" plastered on its sides.
A number of Abu Dhabi Police entities are taking part in the four-day Festival, namely; the Security Media Department, the Secretariat of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; and the Traffic and Patrols Directorate General, through the Education patrols, to educate members of the public on the risks of over speeding, and the need to abide by traffic laws and regulations.
Also participating in the Festival are the Police Schools, the Crime Scene, Community Police and Sports Clubs Departments, showcasing the old patrol cars that accompanied the Abu Dhabi Police progress since its founding in 1957. The Security Inspection Department (K9) will also take part with police dogs skills presentations at the Festival.
The participation in the Festival embodies the Abu Dhabi Police keenness to enhance communication with the various segments of society, in line with its comprehensive strategy that focuses on the human factor, being a valuable asset of society that needs to be provided with the necessary components for a safe and secure life.
