The Capital Police Directorates intensifies its patrols to control beggars
Brigadier Omeir Mohammad Al Muheiri, Director of the Capital Police Directorate, has announced a plan to intensify police patrols in order to observe and monitor beggars in public, residential places and mosques areas.
He has urged all citizens and residents to contact police on seeing any one involving in such activities. On the spot action will be taken against any one who is found to be begging, he added.
Al Muheiri said that some people take advantage of this holy season and try to gain money through begging. Some of them look into houses in order to evaluate the assets and points of weaknesses to strike later.
As many of burglaries are carried out by beggars or are involved in these burglaries. Some people do not report the case to police. There are legal and official charity institutions and organizations in the country which takes care of the poor and the needy, he said.
