Summer programme "Hope of Tomorrow – Roses of Hope" concluded 

 

The activities of the Summer Programme "Hope of Tomorrow - Roses of Hope" organized by ADP GHQ Department of Clubs and Sports Activities for ADP officers boys and girls aged between 7 to 15 years, were concluded on Wednesday. 230 male and female students participated in the one-month programme. The closing ceremony was attended by Colonel Salim Ali Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of Clubs and Sports Activities Department and a number of officers and parents.

The ceremony began with the reciting of verses from the Holy Quran by the student Khalid Khamis Al Ali. Then a documentary showing the different activities performed by students was shown.

Colonel Al Zaabi said "The Summer Programme is organized annually during summer vacation to provide students with educational, recreational, cultural and sports activities. This year programme included karate, arts, swimming, Islamic Teachings, in addition to recreational activities, including a visit to Al Samalia Island".

1st Lt. Yusuf Al Haram said in his speech on behalf of the Head of Cultural Activities at the Department 'The Summer Programme for officers' children is within the framework of ADP GHQ efforts to support excellence and pioneering trends. ADP officers are keen to see their children participating in the programme and its social, religious and recreational activities which assist them in spending their leisure time in a useful way".

Then the participating students presented karate and Al Yola Folkdance shows. At the end of the ceremony Colonel Al Zaabi honored the parties who contributed to the success of the programme and the student who won the first three places in Quran reciting, karate arts, shooting, swimming and computer activities.
