Security Committee gears up to Enhance the public safety for F1

 

The Events Security Committee has taken all precautionary measures to ensure the public safety and security during the activities of Etihad Airways F1, Grand Prix, hosted by the Capital Abu Dhabi at Yass Marina Circuit, which will kick off on Friday.

The Committee has said in its statement “Security measures will be carried out as customary and in accordance with standards applicable to such activities. These procedures prohibit possession of firearms, fire crackers, knives, laser pens, liquids and chemicals, all types of loud speakers, in addition to political, religious and racial slogans”.

“all prohibited items will be confiscated. Flags pools should not more than one meter long. All kinds of animals will not be allowed in, except dogs that assist persons with special needs. Things like Golf cars, bicycles, scooters, skiing boards, flying saucers, children cars and chairs, long umbrellas, cooling boxes and balloons using helium gas, will not be allowed as well”, added the Committee.

The Security Committee has urged the public to cooperate with by positive response to police elements directions in order to achieve utmost levels of safety. Foods and drinks from outside the circuit will not be allowed, as there will be many restaurants and retail shops around the race circuit.

All members of the public are reminded to carry with them their entry tickets and keep them in a place that can easily be seen all the times during their presence inside Yass Marina Circuit and its facilities. The vehicle permit should be kept on the dash board so that can easily be seen. Everyone should ensure that the dates of the ticket and permit match the race date. If they do not match entry will not be allowed.
