Two undercover CID officers agreed with the prime suspect "F.A" 19 years (Yemeni) and his partner,"M.K" 26 Emarati, to purchase a quantity of hashish, weighing 20 kg grams against the payment of AED 228, 000.

The prime suspect came on foot to the location of the car which was carrying the two undercover CID officers with whom he agreed on the deal, Al Hammadi continued, pointing out that the prime suspect, after having checked the money, made a telephone call to the second suspect who was waiting in his car.

When the second suspect came to deliver the goods in his possession and receive the money, he felt there was something suspicious. He immediately opened fire at the drug enforcement vehicle wounding the officer and his assistant, before running away, taking advantage of the powerful car engines.

The prime suspect, who was riding in the ambush car was arrested while the rest of the members of the force were chasing the second suspect, but they stopped the chase for the safety of road users and pedestrians because he was driving at a crazy speed

In less than two hours from escaping, the border guards managed to arrest the second suspect at the Madam’s area of the Emirate of Sharjah while trying to flee the country.

Al Hammadi praised the vigilance of the border guards and the effectiveness of permanent coordination with them in various fields that aim to protect the society and its security from abusers and drug deals both alike.
