Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, honored yesterday, retired Major General Salem Saleh Al Junaibi and retired Major General Ali Abdullah Al Shehhi in his office. They were honored in recognition of their dedicated work during their years of service at the Ministry of Interior. HH presented both of them a certificate of gratitude, the shield of the Ministry of Interior, and a gift of appreciation. 

HH hailed their efforts and dedication during their years of service in the police agency, underscoring the keenness of the country’s Higher Leadership to appreciate and honor retirees. HH added that retirement is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a new permanent phase to serve the country for which sacrifices have been made. He lauded the sincere efforts exerted by the retired officers, their dedicated work, and their extraordinary competence during their years of service. He also stated that their years of service are marked by their efficient and effective perseverance and performance of the tasks entrusted to them.

For their part, the two recognized retirees expressed their happiness for this honor from the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, hailing His Highness’ keenness towards police employees and retirees alike.

The ceremony was also attended by Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services at Abu Dhabi Police GHQ and Chairman of the Retirees Honoring Committee at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations; Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director General of the Headquarters Affairs at Abu Dhabi Police; Brigadier General Ali Obeid Al Darmaki, Director of Personnel at the General Department of Human Resources at Abu Dhabi Police; and Colonel Saud Al Saadi, Director of the Secretariat of His Highness the Minister of Interior.

Notably, the retired Major General Salem Saleh Al Junaibi joined the Abu Dhabi Police Force on 08/11/1969. He held several positions including: Head of the Training Section, Head of the Administrative and Financial Affairs Department, Director of the Department for the Protection of Oil Installations, Head of the Special Security Force, Head of Central Operations, and Director of Medical Services. Moreover, he has received several medals and honors including: the Excellent Long Service Medal, the Integration of Police and Security Forces Medal, the Loyal Service Medal, the Appreciation Medal, the Union Creation Commemorative Medallion, the Silver Jubilee Medal, and Employment Excellence Medals. He has also received several certificates of appreciation for his outstanding efforts in the development of medical services.

The retired Major General Ali Abdullah Al Shehhi joined the Abu Dhabi Police Force on 16/06/1974 and held several positions including: Head of the Security Affairs Section, Director of the Guards Department, Deputy Director General of the Protection of Installations, and Commander of the Special Forces at the Ministry of Interior. Furthermore, he has received several medals and honors including: the Excellent Long Service Medal, the Integration of Police and Security Forces Medal, the Loyal Service Medal, the Appreciation Medal, and the Union Creation Commemorative Medallion. He has also received several certificates of appreciation for his numerous participations in police and security work.
