Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, headed the UAE delegation to the 15th consultative meeting of the GCC Interior Ministers that was held today in Kuwait.
Upon his arrival at the Kuwaiti capital, Sheikh Saif was received by H.E. Sheikh Ahmad Humoud Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Lt. Gen. Suleiman Fahad Al-Fahad, the Ministry of Interior Undersecretary; a number of officials; and the UAE embassy Chargé d’Affaires in the State of Kuwait.
Sheikh Saif, together with his brothers Their Highness and Their Excellences the GCC ministers of interior, met HH Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmed Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait at the Bayan Palace. HH Sheikh Saif along with Their Highness and Their Excellences the GCC ministers of interior also met Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Kuwait Prime Minister.
During the consultative meeting, Their Highness and Their Excellences the GCC ministers of interior discussed topics of interest to the GCC citizens across all mutual security areas and ways to enhance cooperation and coordination among the GCC countries. The meeting also addressed security updates that are related to the GCC countries.
Sheikh Saif commended in a statement the efforts of his Kuwaiti counterpart for the great organization of the event and warm welcome that the UAE delegation was received with. HH lauded the brotherly efforts made by the GCC countries to promote and develop all cooperation areas, in order to deliver more results that benefit the countries and people of the region.
Sheikh Saif was accompanied by Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services; Brigadier Ahmed Hamel Al Qubaisi; Aref Abdullah Al Tunaiji, UAE embassy Chargé d’Affaires in Kuwait; and a number of senior officers in the Ministry of Interior.
