Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, attended on Monday, the opening of the ninth International exhibition dedicated to internal State security "Milipol Qatar 2012", which is held under the patronage of His Highness, Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar, in response to an invitation by his Qatari counterpart, to be the patron of honor for the Exhibition’s opening ceremony, in honor of His Highness on this occasion.

His Highness commended the levels of excellence and success witnessed by the exhibition, and the ensuing significant turnout and participation in the various sessions of the Exhibition. His Highness also emphasized the importance of the Milipol exhibition in promoting experiences and the exchange of expertise between exhibitors on the local, regional and international levels.

Upon arriving to the Qatari capital, Doha, this morning, His Highness and the accompanying delegation were greeted by His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Qatari Minister of State for Interior Affairs, and a number of senior officials. The UAE delegation also included Major General Nasser Lakhraibani Naimi, Secretary-General of the Office of His Highness, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior; Major General Nasser Bin Al Awadi Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs Department; Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Central Operations; Brigadier Juma Ahmed Hamel Al Qubaisi, and Colonel Mubarak Al Muhairi; Director of Q7 Department in Abu Dhabi Police.

Following that, His Highness, accompanied by his Qatari counterpart, toured the Exhibition and was briefed on the modern techniques, and advanced programs and systems; which reflect the latest achievements of modern science in the field of security equipment and safety devices. His Highness also toured the UAE pavilion at the Exhibition, regarded as the biggest in the region and the Middle East in general, including several products from leading Emirati companies in this field, such as armored vehicles made by defense automotive manufacturer Nimr; military and sporting weapons produced by Tawazun Advanced Defense Systems (TADS); Carakal International products, in addition to the latest  shooting management offerings from Remaya; autonomous systems solutions from Abu Dhabi Autonomous Systems Investments (ADASI), as well as munitions manufactured by Burkan and Caracal Light Ammunition (CLA), and other exhibits.

At the end of the visit, His Highness expressed his heartfelt thanks for the hospitality and the warm reception he and the accompanying delegation received; wishing the State of Qatar, leadership, government and people, further progress and prosperity.
