Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior asserted that excellence and modernization in the various public service sectors have become an irreplaceable national requirement. His Highness urged Emirati youth to keep pace with the efforts exerted by the Leadership to attain the highest levels of progress and prosperity.
This was declared by His Highness during his visit yesterday to the Leadership Development and Creativity Center at the General Secretariat of His Highness Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior. Accompanying His Highness were Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior; Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Salim Al Kutbi, deputy commander-in-chief of Abu Dhabi Police; and Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of the Interior for Resources and Support Services; as well as commanders and directors general from the Ministry of Interior.
Lt. Colonel Saif Hamid Al Dir’e, Director of the Center, briefed His Highness on the workflow in the Center. Furthermore, His Highness visited the Assessment Laboratories established according to international-best practices in this area.
Major Dr. Omar Ibrahim Al Ali, Head of the Competency Assessment Department in the Center gave a presentation on the assessment mechanism and its objectives that serve the vision and strategy of the Ministry of Interior. He also briefed His Highness on the tools used in the evaluation process, developed according to international standards and in line with the UAE society. Moreover, His Highness and the accompanying delegation witnessed a live evaluation process that was underway at the Centre at the time of the visit.
After that, His Highness toured the various departments of the Center, where he was briefed on the future leaders program, which aims to qualify and train young leaders at the Ministry of Interior in accordance with an integrated development methodology. His Highness was also acquainted with the Innovators’ Sponsoring Program which aims to discover and nurture creative people at the Ministry; and develop their abilities in the field of creativity and innovation.
He was also briefed on the Center’s major achievements since its inception, as well as its current activities and future plans.
His Highness, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior lauded the Center’s employees’ efforts to develop work, as per the requirements of institutional excellence. This comes in line with the vision and strategy of the Ministry, stemming from the Federal Government strategy.
