Safe guard your home appliances: Ain police Emergency Section

ADP Section of Emergency and Public Safety in Al Ain have completed its preparations for the coming summer and schools vacation season where police stations receive a slew of complaints about fire-related incidents.

Lt. Colonel Mohammad Ibrahim Al Amri, Head of the Section has stressed the necessity of having electric equipment and appliances checked="checked" due to their heavy use during summer  season.

Al Amri said “Most complaints are received by the Section during summer season where temperatures soar up causing fires in vehicles, homes, farms or industrial areas”.

“Some families ignore periodical checks of their electric appliances which causes hazards. He urges families not to ignore checking items such as air conditions and gas cylinders and keeping them away from direction of sun light”, added Al Amri.

Electric appliances should not be over used. Owners of industrial areas and agencies should check electric wires which are directly exposed to sun rays and maintain them periodically, and protecting them against heat and water which causes short circuits.

He also urges farms owners not to burn fires or leaving residuals and dry grass in unsecure places.
