Riot control trainees graduated in Al Ain

 

Lt. Colonel (S) Ahmed Ali Al Shuhi, Head of Special Tasks Section, Al Ain, of the Department of Special Tasks at ADP GHQ has witnessed a batch of trainees from a (riot control tactics and maintenance of order course – stage two). The course has been organized by the Strategy and Performance Development Bureau at the Department of Special Tasks in Al Ain, for two weeks.

35 Officers and other ranks graduated. The course objective is to make trainees to gain advanced skills in fighting riots and dispersing demonstrators by use of developed techniques, weapons, police dogs and other tactical methods.

 Trainees receive theoretical and practical training on how to control riots and secure public buildings and places where the riot takes place, and how to evacuate these buildings. Al Shuhi has stressed the importance of the course in qualifying, training and promoting security men's skills and abilities to deal with crises and disasters. ADP GHQ is keen to provide best training and practical capabilities to enhance security and safety progress in the country.

At the end of the ceremony Lt. Colonel Al Shuhi, accompanied by Captain Saeed Nasser Al Isaie, C/O of Official Tasks Company, Captain Abdul Azeez Abdul Rahman Al Ahbabi, Director of Support Service Branch and a number of the Section officers gave away certificate to the graduates.
