Rehabilitation centre for people with special needs at Zayed City Centre

 

HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior has directed that a suitable donation be made from distinguished numbers auctions as a contribution from ADP GHQ to the centre.

The amount should go to Zayed City Centre for the Welfare and Rehabilitation of Persons with Special Needs. The amount would be allocated for setting up a multi-intelligence practices unit, to discover and develop the talents and abilities of the students. It also would tackle any difficulties that such students face in their education.

HH has confirmed that the Ministry of Interior (MOI) is always keen to contribute to any projects that provide excellent services to the community. This is derived from SDP beliefs in the importance of cooperation and partnership with all government institutions for exemplary service. HH has urged MOI’s Centers for the Welfare of People with Special Needs to coordinate with Zayed Centre for the Welfare and Rehabilitation in appreciation of its role in serving that category.

A team from MOI’s centers for rehabilitation and Employment of people with special needs has paid a field visit to study the notion of the project. Some of commercial enterprises have offered their cooperation in setting up the unit.

Reem Said Al Mazroui, Director of Zayed City Centre for the Welfare and Rehabilitation of people with Special Needs of Zayed Higher Authority for Humanitarian Welfare has confirmed the importance and role of the project in discovering the talents and abilities of the students. This process would entail a set of linguistic and sports programmes and activities.
