The Police Sports Association discussed the preparations and arrangements for organizing the annual shooting championship No. 30 to be held on February 20th at the shooting range in the Al Sowan area of Ras Al Khaimah and will continue until the first of March.
The Higher Organizing Committee held its meeting at the of the Ras Al Khaimah police officers Club, headed by Colonel Abdulmalik Mohammed Jani Director of the Police Sports Association, Ministry of Interior, in the presence of senior members of the committee and heads of sub-committees.
According to Colonel Abdulmalik Jani, 11 teams will take part in the event including the Police General Headquarters of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al Khaimah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Fujairah, Naturalization and Residence Department, the Special Security Forces Command, the Federal School Police, and Civil Defense..
The meeting of the Higher Organizing Committee for the championship touched on the issues related to the championship and the roles of each committee, he said.
Training will be held at Al Sowan Camp at Ras Al Khaimah for the participating teams two days before the beginning of the tournament.
He said that shooting championship includes several competitions, including the rifle and pistol shooting contests for men and women, shooting at discs, and “move and shoot” contest.
He thanked the General Headquarters of the Ras Al Khaimah Police represented by Major General Sheikh Talib bin Saqer Al Qassimi, Commander in-Chief for hosting the tournament for the third year in a row, and for their efforts in providing the human and technical potentials to make this event a success.
