Police Sports Association discusses amendments on Police Shooting Championship
 


Police Sports Association in the Ministry of Interior, discussed in the meeting of the representatives of the teams participating in the Police Annual Shooting Championship, the main amendments made on the Championship.

In the pistol contests for officers, 5 officers and 5 shooters can now be registered, the score of the best 4 shooters is approved, and that all participants must use one type of pistols, SIG-Sauer P228 pistol.

During the meeting it has been confirmed that the women shooting contest must be part of the championship, and that if some departments do not have female participants, they can bring shooters from outside.

According of Abdulmalik Jani, director of Police Sports Association, the Shooting Championship in its 29th edition that will be held 21 February to 3 March will be hosted by the Directorate General of Ras Al Khaimah Police.

Ten teams will participate in the Championship including Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, Dubai Police, Directorate General of Sharjah Police, Directorate General of Ras Al Khaimah Police, Directorate General of Ajman Police, Directorate General of Umm Al Quwain Police, Directorate General of Al Fujairah Police, Directorate General for Naturalization and Residency,  Special Tasks Forces Command and the Federal Police School. 

The Championship includes gun shooting, pistol, shooting (women and men), dish throw contest, and the newly- introduced contest known as “Harakah wa Nar”.
