Officers’ children summer programme continues its activities

 

The Summer Programme “Tomorrows Hope – Flowers of Hope” organized by ADP GHQ Department of Clubs and Sports Activities for officers boys and girls aged between 7 to 15 years continue its activities which will last up to 20 July 2010.

The children receive religious lessons to learn Holy Quran verses by heart and Islamic teachings and morals. 

The Preacher Hassan Al Dusooqi Ali, from Cultural and Morale Guidance Branch at the Community Policing department said “The participating children are divided into groups according to their ages and ability to understand lessons. They also receive lessons on Prophet Mohammed Biography and jurisprudential principles in a simple way. They receive lessons on Wudu (ablution), prayers and how to handle the Holy Quran Book”.

“They also receive simplified lectures on some of Islamic religion principles such as sincerity, honesty, parents respect and obedience assisting poor people and those in need”, added Al Dusooqi.

He lauded their interaction with religious and the Holy Quran lessons. They have good religious knowledge which he believes is due to their families’ effect.
