receve and Process urgent transactions
MOI Directorate General of Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, as customary, has announced that the working teams at the Naturalization and Residency Departments will continue receiving urgent transactions during Eid Holiday, at the country level. They will work for specific number of hours in the mornings only.
Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Minhali, MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs said “In response to the directives of HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and HH’s keenness to finalize urgent transactions of clients, It has been decided that working teams are to be set up at all Departments of Naturalization and Residency, at the country level, in order to receive and process urgent transactions. The teams will work in the mornings during Eid Al Adha Holiday. Some transactions cannot be delayed or kept waiting after holiday as they may entail legal action against the client. Therefore they will be processed as quickly as required”.
Such transactions for example are: Renewal of a citizen’s passport or a residence for an expatriate for medical reasons. Such transactions will be processed on the same day and other necessary transactions which cannot be delayed. Naturalization Departments spare no effort to deliver distinguished services to the public with due accuracy during occasions and public holidays.
Al Minhali expects that about 40 to 50 transactions will processed daily be each Department, especially at Emirates which have large number of population. Other transactions which are not urgent will be processed after Eid holiday.
MoI Assistant Undersecretary for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs avails himself of this opportunity to congratulate HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi (God bless him), HH Sheikh Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai (God protect him) and their brothers Their Highnesses, the Supreme Council Members and Rulers of the Emirates, Their Deputies and Crown Princes', on the advent of Eid Al Adha.
