MoI visits 3 European countries to review human trafficking experiences

 

A delegation from MoI, headed by Colonel Saeed bin Rakan Al Rashdi, Director of Violators and Foreigners Follow up of the Directorate General of Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, has visited recently three European countries such as Czech Republic, Britain and France to review best practices they adopt in human trafficking combat and organized crimes.

The delegation met with Ondreij Klib, Director of Communities and Minorities at the Ministry of Human Rights in the Czech Republic. They also visited Jandriska Karblova, Chairperson of Non-government associations and Head of "Majdala" Project of Human Trafficking Victims Care Homes in the Czech republic, and some officials specialized in human trafficking crimes in UK and France, with a view to curb trading in human, chasing the culprits and sheltering the victims.

The delegation also met with Her Honor the Judge Ivana Hood Halkova, Coordinator of Human Rights at the European Union. They reviewed the tasks of Foreigners Affairs Office and Human Trafficking Combat Office, of Organized Crime Combat Bureau in "Prague" and Exploitation Unit in "Barduwis".

"The visits aim at reviewing the procedures that lead to curbing human trafficking phenomena, affirming that MoI deal with this firmly. MoI spares no effort in collaboration with relevant authorities in the country, region and world to confront exploitation practices. The UAE is an active global member in this respect", said Colonel Al Rashdi.

Colonel al Rashdi presented a book depicting the urban and cultural development in the UAE. Al Rashdi was accompanied by Lt. Colonel Mohammad Sultan Al Dhahri, Head of Violators Follow up Section in Al Ain, Major Mohammad Saeed Al Amri, director of Emirates Institute of Naturalization, Residency and Ports and Captain Ahmed Ali Al Dalal, Director of Public Relations Branch at the Department of Violators and Foreigners Follow up.
