Events of the week-long Ministry of Interior Village, held under the patronage of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, will kick off in the city of Suwaihan at the traditional market.
The Ministry of Interior participates in the village with more than 30 pavilions representing the various police departments and sections. More than 30 police awareness activities targeting different segments of the society will be organized at the Village, in addition to the participation of some government institutions.
The activities include variety of awareness and entertainment shows, mass contests with prizes, as well as distribution of publications and brochures addressing, security awareness, preventive and traffic- relate issues.
The village is organized as part of the strategy of the Ministry of Interior to promote communication with the public, and gain confidence and encourage them to strengthen cooperation with the police, thus contributing to the realization of the strategy of the Ministry of the Interior, in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Interior 2011 - 2013, arising from the strategy of the federal government.
It also aims to disseminate the culture of security and social awareness and educate the public about the services provided by the Ministry, and the efforts made to develop these services, apart from viewing the contents showcased at the various pavilions such as the modern and highly advanced equipment which are used in the police work.
The village is a great opportunity for students to learn closely about the work of the various organs of the Ministry of Interior. An invitation was extended to Abu Dhabi Education Zone to allow the students in Al Ain and Suwaihan to attend the village.
The previous events of the village have witnessed unprecedented turnout hailing the efforts of the Ministry of Interior in organizing this event which has contributed to promoting communication with the community.
