Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary at the Ministry of Interior, met on Tuesday morning at the ministry’s headquarters, Lt. General Tawfiq Hamid Tawalbeh, Jordanian Director-General of the Gendarmerie Department and the accompanying delegation, on a two-day visit to the state.

During the meeting, a number of topics of mutual interest were discussed, as well as ways to enhance cooperation and coordination in the various fields of police and security work, between both the UAE and Jordan’s Ministries of Interior.

The meeting was attended by His Highness Major General Sheikh Taleb Bin Saqr Al Qassimi, the Director General of Ras Al Khaimah Police Department; Major General Khamis Saif bin Suwaif, Director General of Criminal Security at the Ministry of Interior; and by Lt. Colonel Ahmed Saeed Al Mazroui, Head of International Cooperation Department at the Ministry. Also attending were, Major Mubarak Al Khayili, from the INTERPOL office in Abu Dhabi, and members of the Jordanian delegation.

 At the end of the meeting, both parties exchanged commemorative gifts.

Lt. General Tawfiq Hamid Tawalbeh, Jordanian Director-General of the Gendarmerie Department and the accompanying delegation also visited the Police College. He was greeted upon arrival, by H.E. Colonel Saif Ali Al Kutobi, Police College Director, along with department directors, chiefs of sections, and a number of officers from the College.

During the meeting, both parties discussed means to enhance cooperation and exchange of visits between the Police College in Abu Dhabi, and similar colleges and training institutions across Jordan.

The Police College Director briefed the Jordanian delegation on the Police College and the Officers Training Institute, and their affiliated departments and sections. He also gave a detailed explanation on the tasks and duties undertaken by the College and the educational and training programs it provides, to qualify skillful and highly efficient police officers, capable of carrying out the tasks assigned to them in the various areas of police work.

At the end of the visit, commemorative shields and gifts were exchanged between the Police College Director and the head of the Jordanian delegation.
