The Ministry of Interior, represented by the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, has launched a competition for the public titled UAE PROUD, marking the 40th anniversary of the UAE National Day.

Entries of different arts varieties on video clips depicting the loyalty and pride of the country and its leadership will be accepted.

The competition will provide opportunity for Emiratis, expatriates and visitors to participate in the contest by preparing video clips containing visuals of the landmarks of the UAE, paintings, poetry, music, patriotic songs and the like.

They need to upload the videos on the link  www.facebook.com/AbuDhabiPolice  or the Abu Dhabi Police’s page on the YouTube  http://www.youtube.com/theuaeproud40.

“The competition is designed to cement the interaction between the police and the public, and their participation in the celebrations in the National Day on one hand, and boost the sense of belonging and spirit of nationality and pride of the UAE on the other,” said Brigadier Ali Khalfan Al Dhaheri, Director-General of Command Affairs at the Abu Dhabi Police.

The competition, according to him, is part of wide-scale activities being arranged by the Abu Dhabi Police for participation in the country’s 40th National Day.
As per the conditions of the competition, the video clips should be named UAE Proud 40, and should contain the full name and e-mail address of the participant in the details of the video, a statement said.

The winning entries will be selected and announced on the second day of the next three months (December, January and February), with one winner every month. Each winner will be awarded AED 40,000.
