MoI graduates 37 officers and trainees from two courses at the Police College

 

MoI has celebrated the graduation of 37 officers and trainees from two training courses, "Basic Criminal Investigation" and "High Leadership Strategies", at the Federation Hall of the Police College.

Major General Khamis Saif bin Suwaif, Director general of MoI Criminal Security said "Continuous training for police officers is a necessity which MoI seeks to achieve, in order to develop the skills and abilities of its employees. MoI works very hard to promote an integrated training system, to develop individual abilities and skills and discovering potential talents"

The ceremony was attended by Colonel Saif Ali Al Kitbi, Director General of Police College, Colonel (Dr.) Mohammad Saeed Al Humeidi, Director of Officers Training Institute and a number of directors, Heads of Sections.

Bin Suwaif said "Training concept is no longer a traditional one limited to traditional training courses and granting of certificates, but it is a strategic option in the light of human resources development system. We pin high hopes on these courses to achieve their goals, which in line with the real needs of police force".

On the other hand Colonel (Dr.) Al Humeidi said "The 2nd Basic Criminal Investigation Course, attended by 28 trainees, trains students in investigation principles, duties, responsibilities and tasks, in addition to other necessary skills to implement tasks in a proper way. The course continues for 9 weeks (17 October to 16 December 2010). It included theoretical lectures, field visits. Instructors are specialized in criminal security".

"The 2nd High Leadership Strategies Course attended by 9 officers of the rank captain and above, continued for five days (12 to 16 December 2010). Instructors were specialized in management and planning, to develop the knowledge and skills of participants about high management strategies", added Al Humeidi.

At the end of the ceremony the Director general of criminal security gave away certificates to graduates.
