With various activities and events expressing delight, and loyalty to the country’s wise leaders, the Ministry of interior celebrations marking the 40th anniversary of the UAE National Day will kick off Thursday.
As part of the ministry’s celebrations, the Abu Dhabi Police has prepared a wide range of activities fitting the importance of the national occasion and expressing loyalty to the country and pride in its achievements which were made and are still being made thanks to UAE rulers, said Major General Staff Obeid Al Hiri Al Kutbi.
He added: celebrations will begin on Thursday with events to be organized by the Capital Police at the Al Wahda shopping mall, followed by various activities to be held at other shopping centers. Over one month time, every shopping center will be hosting the events for two days.
Al Ain and Western Region Police Directorates will hold exhibitions, contests and entertainment activities reflecting the nation’s construction process throughout 40 years, he noted.
The Capital’s Police Directorate program includes radio show on national contests where prizes will be handed out to winners with the participation of the Educational Zone, detailed Brigadier Maktoum Al Shareefi, director of the Capital Police.
A UAE flag balloon bearing the national day and ministry of interior’s logos will be placed on the building of the directorate, he added.
He noted that 6 stages with the photos of their highnesses Rulers of UAE Supreme Council members and the national day and ministry of interior’s logos on the background have been prepared. They have been installed in the Marina shopping mall, Abu Dhabi Mall, Al Khalidiyah Mall, Al Mushrif Mall, and Abu Dhabi Corniche.
The one-month long activities organized at shopping centers include kids face painting, cartoon personalities, documentary supplied with photos featuring the MoI achievements, gifts and brochures illustrating the services offered by the directorate.
The Directorate will also take part in the ministry of interior village with a theater designed with a background bearing the photos of their highnesses rulers of UAE supreme council members and the national day and ministry of interior’s logos, he further noted.
