Held under the patronage of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior and continued for one week, the Ministry of Interior Village 2011 activities have concluded Saturday evening at the old Airport Park in Abu Dhabi.
Attracting over 50.000 visitors of various age groups, the village achieved massive success with more than 4000 gifts bearing the logo of “spirit of the union”, more than 300 valuable gifts and cash prizes given to visitors and winners of the contests organized at the village stage.
More than 20.000 awareness brochures of various languages have also been distributed to the visitors. Over 4000 photos for kids wearing police uniform have been taken. Visitors have also used more than 40.000 colored pullets at the shooting range prepared by the special security forces command.
At the pavilion of the Medical Services Department, more than 1351 persons conducted blood, sugar and cholesterol tests, and 972 persons conducted eye tests.
A number of visitors have expressed their admiration of what they have seen at the heritage village and the various pavilions, assuring that organizing the Village during the 40th national day celebrations contributes to establishing values of community culture and promoting social and national interaction.
Appreciating the use of artworks, lectures and contests in increasing awareness in all fields, they hoped that the village will be organized annually in the same time with other new events and more community participations added.
