The Ministry of Interior tackled the requirements for establishing an integrated service center in the ministry during the first meeting held by the Project Committee at the meetings hall in the General Directorate for Central Operations in the Abu Dhabi Police.
The meeting was headed by Major General Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Director General of Abu Dhabi Police Central Operations. It was attended by Brigadier Eng. Hussein Ahmed Al Harithi, Director of Traffic and Patrol Directorate; Brigadier Said Saif Al Nuaimi, Director of Abu Dhabi Police Purchases and Warehouses Directorate; and a number of senior officers.
In the beginning of the meeting, Major Al Raisi presented the center’s requirements, including naturalization and residency services, civil defense and police services, as well as the identification and adoption of procedural services planned to be delivered in the center.
He added: “The committee also examines the proposed sites for the construction of the center; coordinates with concerned authorities in the Ministry of Interior and Abu Dhabi Police to adopt and establish the organizational unit at the Abu Dhabi General Headquarters; studies and determines the partners in which to collaborate and provide the services of the center; and coordinates and cooperates with partners in line with the scope of the partnership in order to better the delivery of services.”
It is also specialized in cooperating with the concerned authorities in Abu Dhabi Police to modify the necessary regulations and electronic programs in order to provide central services, according to the best standards. It is also accessing the best global practices in customer service in order to establish the Ministry of Interior Center for Integrated Services.
The requirements include a study and an identification of the professions required for the center, the supervision of the center activation, the assessment of its services performance in coordination with the General Directorate for Strategy and Development Performance, the elaboration of a training plan for the center’s employees, and the supervision of its implementation in coordination with the Training Directorate in the Abu Dhabi Police.
Lieutenant Colonel Nasser Khadem Al Kaabi, Director of Customer Service in the General Secretariat of the Office of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior presented an array of studies prepared for the project and the achievements in its implementation.
Captain Sultan Al Shamisi, from the Engineering Projects Directorate in Abu Dhabi Police presented an idea about the project construction plans in collaboration with one of the experts in the engineering company, Secure Engineering.
Afterwards, tasks were distributed to the committee members. The meeting has also tackled the coordination with the partners according to the partnership scope for the services provision and a variety of proposed designations for the center.
