Major General Nasser Lakhrebani Al Nuaimi, Secretary General of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior inaugurated the events of the second forum for the Best Practices and Applications in the Minister of Interior Excellence Award. The forum was organized by the Public Directorate for Strategy and Performance Development, within the Practices and Experiences Work Teams Awards, at the Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club.
In a speech marking the occasion, the Secretary-General stated that the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award came from the Higher Headquarters in support of human development efforts and development and modernization in various fields, which motivates employees to achieve excellence in general performance, launches the spirit of positive competition, and encourages police service members to cooperate, which enhances achievements.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Interior provides a stimulating environment for outstanding work according to the latest, advanced international standards, stressing that the award has a positive impact on all workers in the ministry, by giving the opportunity for all to participate. “The distinctive experiences that won the award will have a positive impact in achieving developmental leaps in the creative police work environment,” he added.
During the forum’s first session, which lasted for two days in Abu Dhabi Police Officers Club and in the Police Sciences Academy in Sharjah, the unique experiences that deserved the Minister of Interior Excellence Award were proposed. The forum presented five experiences: the "Feast Cheer" work team experience that won the award of Best Teamwork in the first session; the experience of the truck operation team that won the Best Joint Work Team Award; "Away Thieves" experience that won the Excellent Administrative Award in the first session; the TETRA System experience that won the award of Excellent Technical Experience in the first session; and the Best Practices Award experience that was given to the Creativity Directorate in the first session.
Colonel Faisal Sultan Al Shuaibi, Director of Abu Dhabi Police Strategy and Performance Development Directorate, Team Leader of Best Applications and Practices in the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate said that this forum aims to highlight the series of successes achieved by the ministry’s members and to introduce to their unique experiences that deserved to win the Minister of Interior Excellence award in its first session in order to benefit from those experiences then replicate them.
“The Minister Interior Excellence Award system was developed to encourage outstanding leadership, to motivate perfect performances, to have faith in creativity and positive competition among all, and to spread culture of quality and excellence making it a daily valuable conduct instilled among all workers in the Ministry of Interior,” he concluded.
