The Ministry of Interior added a number of new Bell 412 helicopters to the Sharjah Air Wing Section. It is noteworthy that Emirati personnel from the Air Wing Section assembled and equipped the new aircrafts with efficiency and professionalism.
H.E Lieutenant General Saif Abdullah Al Sha’far, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, inaugurated the new helicopter fleet on Wednesday at the Sharjah Air Wing Section. In his speech on this occasion, he underscored the keenness of the Higher Leadership to provide cutting edge equipment and machinery and to harness all necessary resources to ensure the success of the Ministry of Interior’s work and tasks. This comes in line with the MoI’s objectives to achieve the highest levels of security and tranquility for community members.
“The Ministry of Interior; under the patronage of His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, has sought and continues to provide the best and latest equipment and machinery for its GHQs and general departments at the State-level. It also endeauvors to qualify its human cadre and develop their abilities and skills to achieve its goals of promoting security and stability in the community and preserve national gains”, noted Al Shafar.
Lieutenant General Al Sha’far expressed his deep satisfaction for the work accomplished by the Sharjah Air Wing Section staff members, in assembling and equipping the new aircrafts with efficiency and professionalism. This has had a big impact in reducing financial costs.
For his part, Colonel pilot Abdullah Salem Al Dheeb, Head of the Sharjah Air Wing noted that the new helicopters enhance the Department’s capabilities. Moreover, he indicated that modernizing the fleet contributes to promote operational and security performance, in addition to the humanitarian tasks entrusted to Department.
“The Air Wing Department made quantum leaps in the use of helicopters, equipped with state-of the-art technical equipment and devices, to serve all aspects of security work”, continued Colonel Salem, expressing the Department’s pride in the achievements of its Emirati staff, who assembled the new aircrafts. “This reflects their competence and efficiency in carrying out aviation technical tasks with professionalism,” he concluded.
During the ceremony, Al Shafar attended the graduation of eight pilot officers and awarded them aviation medals, in the presence of the Pilot Colonel Abdulla Salem Al Dheeb, and a number of senior officers from the Section.
Furthermore, a number of the department’s officers were honored, in recognition of their efforts. The honoring ceremony also included the maintenance technicians at the Air Wing Section who have assembled and equipped the new aircrafts.
