Lt General Al Shaafar visits Hatta boarder point
Lt. General Saif Abdullah Al Shaafar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, has recently paid an inspection visit to Hatta border point, Naturalization, Residency and Ports Section and Al Madam Police Station.
During the visit Al Shaafar took note of the plan of the new building of the boarder point, and the development works currently in progress in the area. This comes within the process of modernization and development of the boarder points in the country.
Accompanied him in this visit were Brig. Ghareeb Mohammed Al Hosani, Director General of Ports and Airports, Col. Mohammed Ali Al Marzouqi, Acting Director General of Finance and Support Services in the Ministry of Interior, and Col. Ahmed Sultan Al Khadir, Director of Cooperation and Security Coordination in the General Directorate of Ports and Airports.
Upon arrival at the border point, he was received by Lt. Colonel, Khalifa Bal Quba, and Assistant Director General for Ports, Lt. Col. Mohammed Al Hammadi, Deputy Director, Lt. Col. Jassem Mohammed Foolaz, Director of Land and Sea Ports at the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai and a number of police officers.
Al Shaafar toured the border point and took note of the work progress and the modern equipment. He listened to a brief explanation about the procedures followed to carry out the transactions of arriving and departing passengers. He learned closely about the entry and exit traffic through the border point.
He then visited the Naturalization, Residency and Ports Section, and listened to a brief explanation about the work, the procedures and the obstacles.
The visit comes within the framework of the field inspection visits which Al Shaafar pays to the different facilities. The visit aims at promoting the constant communication among the police and security apparatus in order to learn about the work progress and be aware of the developments and obstacles which may hinder the flow of performance.
Lt. General Al Shaafar affirmed that the Ministry of Interior is keen to facilitate and simplify the procedures, thus achieving the vision of the police leadership to improve the quality of work and ensure that all transactions are concluded quickly and properly.
