Khalifa directives that Saudi citizens can enter and leave UAE with their ID cards
HH Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of UAE has directed that Saudi citizens are to be allowed to continue the use of their ID cards in order to enter or leave UAE. This has been announced by HH Lt. General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior.
He states that this decision shows UAE deep-rooted policy and keenness to enhance GCC progress. UAE will continue to implement what has been agreed upon regarding movement of both countries citizens between UAE and Saudi Arabia, regardless of the recent decision which the Saudi Arabia Authorities have taken in respect of not allowing UAE citizens to travel to Saudi Arabia with their ID cards only.
It is worth mentioning that the GCC was announced for the first time in 1981 in Abu Dhabi, to achieve the ambitions, aspirations and hopes of the GCC States' Nationals.
