Gang specialized in jet skis and motor bikes arrested in Abu Dhabi

 

ADP arrested four persons, of different nationalities, on suspicion of stealing 16 jet skis, motor bikes and one yacht in Abu Dhabi. Parking them outside owners homes made the job easy for the gang members. ADP urged owners of such vehicles to take necessary precautionary measures, parking them in secure places or in the places specially made for them against small amount of money to avoid similar occurrences.

ADP said "That a shop dealing in selling motorbikes is involved in selling the stolen motorbikes in Abu Dhabi. The shop sells the stolen vehicles at market prices to avoid raising suspicions of authentic ownership of the motorbikes.

Lt. Colonel Ibrahim Hamad Al Hinai, Director of Al Khalidia Police Station of the Capital Police Directorate said "Most of the stolen vehicles have been retrieved. We have received reports about jet skis, motor bikes and a yacht being stolen from in front of homes at different areas of Abu Dhabi Emirate. We immediately formed an investigation squad to look into the issue. They succeeded in arresting the four suspects, identified as "A. J.", 25 Emirati (Employee), "M. S.", 25 Emirati (Unemployed), "S. Hh.", 28 Pakistani (Driver) and "M. Sh.", 32 Bangladeshi (Seller)". After completion of investigations they will be referred to the Public Prosecution for further legal procedures.

All of them admitted their crimes. They intended to steal and sell the following (one yacht, 12 jet skis and 4 motor bikes) at a total value of DH 708,300. According to their statements "Leaving the vehicles in an open area in front of homes facilitates the thefts".

Lt. Colonel Al Minhali urged the owners of jet skis and motorbikes to park their vehicle in well secure places. He also stressed the importance of quickly reporting such occurrences to police, as this plays an important role in arresting the culprits in a record time.
