Four thousands school children interact with traffic awareness city in Abu Dhabi

As part of the 27th GCC Traffic Week, around four thousands school children, and some families in Abu Dhabi visited the Traffic Awareness City.

Major Awadh Saif Al Bloushi, chief of public relations at Abu Dhabi Police Traffic and Patrols Directorate pointed out that the awareness city embodies the attention paid by Abu Dhabi Police Traffic to develop awareness programs that attract children, thus contribute to implant traffic culture in them.

He declared that the events have been prepared within a modern vision which took into account the use of entertainment methods to get the children trained on the traffic rules. The children could drive bicycles on virtual roads but resembling the real ones with their sidewalks and traffic signs.

He noted that the city includes a complete environment for entertainment education, such as electronic games, 3D models for a school bus and vehicles carrying (Dabdoub) dummy bear fastening seatbelt. The city also includes a free painting for children to color some drawings derived from traffic themes.

He invited all families to visit the traffic awareness city which is set up at the public parks of Abu Dhabi Corniche.
