A delegation of the Financial Excellence Commission, affiliated to the Permanent Higher Committee of Finance and Assets at the Ministry of Interior, discussed with the Financial Affairs Administration at Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ means to enhance the efforts of improvement and development, through the best practices and applications in the financial field.
Brigadier Mohammed Al Nubi Mohammed, Deputy Commander-in-Chief of Ras Al Khaimah Police met the delegation in his office. He emphasized the importance of the Commission’s efforts and its role to support the Ministry of Interior’s overall strategy, as well as to encourage creativity and excellence, to ensure continuous improvement of the services and operations’ quality.
Furthermore, Colonel Mohammed Ibrahim Al Jiri, Director of the Financial Affairs Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ, welcomed the visiting delegation; stressing the keenness to achieve its goals, to develop work and financial performance at the various Ministry of Interior’s financial departments.
During the meeting, Lieutenant Colonel Sameh Khalaf Mohammed Al Dhaen, Head of the delegation, explained the objectives of the Commission; pointing out the importance of providing benchmarks by developing criteria to measure performance progress and development at the Ministry’s departments. Al Dhaen also gave a briefing on the standards of financial excellence within the framework of the budget; development of revenues, rationalization of expenditure, legislation and regulatory frameworks, and financial results.
In light of all this, the Director of the Financial Affairs Department at Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ made a presentation, showcasing the workflow at the various departments and branches of the Financial Affairs Department, and its development stages. The presentation also acquainted the attendees with the organizational structure of the Financial Affairs Department, and the tasks and duties of its various sections. Attendees were also briefed on some applications and software solutions applied at the Department.
It is noteworthy that the Ministry of Interior’s Financial Excellence Commission delegation, headed by Lieutenant Colonel Sameh Khalaf Mohamed Al Dhaen, included Captain Faten Mohammed Manahi from Abu Dhabi Police; Captain Ali Mohammed Al-Salhadi from the Ministry of Interior; civilian Majed Abdullah Al Akili from Dubai Police GHQ; and financial expert Abou Oubaida Ali Omar from Abu Dhabi Police GHQ.
The meeting was attended by members of the Financial Affairs Department of Ras Al Khaimah Police GHQ, namely; Captain Sultan Saif Al Zaabi, Head of payments section; Lt. Zayd Malek Al-Rejji, Director of the Salaries Branch; First Assistant Khalifa Saeed Al Shehhi form the Secretariat.
At the end of the meeting, commemorative shields were exchanged.
