Major General Nasser Al Awadhi Al Menhali, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalization, Residency and Ports Affairs, affirmed that Falaj Al Mualla passport office affiliated with the General Directorate of Residency and Expatriates Affairs in Umm Al Quwain was inaugurated in compliance with the directives of Lt. General H.H Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minster and Minster of Interior.
Since starting work last July, the office has issued 431 new transactions and visas, a part from other transactions including issuing, renewal and cancellation of residency visas, and visa status adjustment, said Al Menhali.
The office is offering a wide range of services to the members of the public including issuing of different types of entry permits, stamping and renewing visas, processing residence visa cancellation, and escape reports received from sponsors, said Al Menhali in a statement on the eve of inaugurating the new office on Tuesday.
Falaj Al Mualla and the neighboring areas benefit from the services offered by the new office with the aim of reducing the number of persons visiting the General Directorate of Residency and Expatriates Affairs in Umm Al Quwain, pointed out Al Menhali.
Other integrated offices in various areas across the country will be established according to a well studied strategy, he promised.
On the other hand, Al Menhali toured the general directorate of residency and expatriates affairs in Umm Al Quwain and inspected the workflow and the services provided to the public.
He urged the employees to improve performance to uplift work, deliver distinguished services to citizens and expatriates where they gather, simplify procedures and carry out their transactions as quickly as possible.
He toured the difference sections of the directorate including violators follow up, entry permits, residence, resources and support services and strategy. He was briefed on the workflow and level of performance.
