The directorate encouraged drivers to be cautious and drive carefully due to current weather patterns.”
He added: “The messages focused on the precautions to be followed in case of dusty wind and low visibility. These messages include reducing speed on internal roads and highways, not using the hazard light unless the vehicle is at a full stop, and to use normal head lights when there is low visibility even during the day.”
He continued: “It is very important that you do not stop or park the car under trees or billboards or around construction sights in order to avoid danger. Drivers should leave a safety space between vehicles to avoid collisions.”
In case of zero visibility, he encouraged drivers to stop away from the road to guarantee the safety of everybody, in addition to using hazard signals while stopped. In the case of continuous zero visibility, it is advisable that drivers delay their trips to some other time.
